She is married to professional baseball player J. P. Arencibia.

Tomi’s paternal grandfather was Wayne Glenn Lahren (the son of Henry G. Lahren and Gertrude “Gertie” Schleicher). Wayne was born in North Dakota. Henry was born in North Dakota, to Norwegian parents, Gudbrand/Gilbert Halvorson/Halvor/Henry Lahren and Carrie Bjerke.
