Mossimo Giannulli, the fashion designer, and the Full House alum, Lori Loughlin, reportedly filed new court documents claiming they were innocent regarding the college admissions scandal in which they were charged. Refinery 29 claims the pair have been accused of paying half a million dollars to have their two daughters recruited into the school as crew team members.
Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose tried to get into the University of Southern California. As the story goes, Lori and Mossimo paid $500,000 to Rick Singer, who ran a non-profit organization. He was a college admissions consultant who worked with an athletics official to get students into the school illegally.
USA Today was the first to report that on Friday, the attornies for Lori and Mossimo argued that the celebrity couple thought they were making legitimate donations to the organization. Both parties claim they didn’t realize what they had done.

Lori and Giannulli, in their court documents, allege that they thought their large sums of money were being used for “university-approved” causes. The documents are supposed to demonstrate their innocence in the college admissions scandal.
Furthermore, the court filing says prosecutors didn’t release crucial evidence in the case that would help back up their arguments. Their lawyers claim prosecutors never revealed that he and Lori thought their $50,000 was going to the USC program, directly.
Followers of the case know that Lori and Mossimo have pled not guilty to the charges which, if convicted, will send them to prison for many years. Thus far, the couple is battling conspiracy to commit bribery, money laundering, and conspiracy fraud.
Lori and Mossimo have been dealing with the charges ever since Operation Varsity Blues was first revealed in March of 2019. The effects of the negative publicity have been quite negative for the family, including their daughter, Olivia Jade, who’s a YouTube beauty influencer.
