Joel Embiid is certainly one of the best players in the league right now. Everyone player around the league has their own opinions or observations about their rivals. That is how they learn how to tackle down the opposition when matched up against each other. The scoring champion too his opinions a little too far by questioning the Toronto Raptors’ true intentions.

After a tough battle against the Raptors, Joel Embiid took his chance to appreciate the amount of work his teammates put into winning that game. Especially after blowing a good lead. For one, he praised his teammates for putting up shots regardless of defenses. Then he continued to slander and smear dirt all over the Raptors.

He said, “We’re always on him, me especially. Everybody really, because I know that as long as they keep shooting, whether it’s him Tobias, P.J., James, guys coming off the bench. As long as they keep shooting, it doesn’t matter if I make it or not it makes my job easier.”

After that he continued by saying, “But when you play a team like Toronto, they don’t really care. It seems like, most of the time, they don’t care about winning. They just want to shut down the other star players… But when you play that, you got to be ready all night. You got to stay alert and have the confidence of just keep shooting it and hope that you make them when they come, and that’s what he did tonight.”

Joel Embiid scrapes through to help Sixers win their fifth straight game

Joel Embiid has been trying to make a comeback to win the league MVP award. Last year he averaged unbelievable numbers and also led the league in scoring. The Philadelphia 76ers had an iffy start to their season but eventually picked up good momentum with James Harden returning to the lineup.

Joel Embiid currently averages 33 points, 9.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. When the Sixers went up against the Raptors, they were particular great on offense but still managed to get the job done. Tobias Harris has been a lethal weapon on offense finishing with 21 points against Toronto. The 76ers did not play Harden that night. De’Anthony Melton has been a key defensive piece for them as well.
